We want you to love our candles as much as we do. We’ve compiled our tips on how you can enjoy and safely burn your favorite scent.
- Always store your candles in a cool, dry place at room temp. Keep away from direct sunlight and high humidity.
- Do not try to handle a candle when it’s burning as the vessel will get hot. As always, burn your candles on a flat, flame retardant surface. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Please refer to the candle warning label located on the bottom of the vessel.
- The first burn sets the tone for optimal burning. Allow the candle to burn until melted wax reaches the edge of the vessel. This should take between 2-3 hours. Burning the candle this length of time will help in preventing tunneling on the sides of the vessel. Tunneling can significantly decrease the burn time. The burn time can also be affected if you burn your candle for longer periods of time. This is why we recommend a 2-4 hour burn time for peak enjoyment.
- For optimal burning we recommend a short wick. Our wicks perform best when they are trimmed to approximately ¼”. We recommend trimming your wick before each burn. A wick trimmer or your fingers work best to achieve this. When using your fingers just snap off the burnt wick and discard. Please allow candle to cool completely before trimming. If flame reaches higher than 1 ½” please extinguish and allow to cool.
- If you experience discoloration on the sides of the vessel, make sure your candle is burning free of any drafts. A candle that is burning too hot can also produce this discoloration in the wax. Once the candle has cooled completely and the wax hardens, the scorched wax/ discoloration on the sides can be wiped away with a damp cloth or rag.
- Your candle has reached the end of its burn life once ½” of wax is remaining at the bottom of your vessel.
